PWIM Cheat Sheet

1. Teacher selects a detailed content-related image and projects on white board.

2. Teacher labels class-generated nouns in one colour.

3. Teacher labels verbs in another colour.

4. Teacher labels adjectives in a different colour.

5. Classify words (parts of speech, rhyming words, beginning consonants, etc.)

6. Create sentences with words - model then have students create.

7. Generate multiple sentences and begin forming simple paragraphs.
